Nobody can deny that 2010 has been ups and downs for Sandra Bullock, which won the Oscar for best actress for “The Blind Side”, and this was followed by his scandalous separation from his partner Jesse James.
But Bullock has returned to the top of Hollywood when the financial site Forbes named her the highest paid actress in the last 12 months to get U.S. $ 56 million with two blockbusters: the romantic comedy “The Proposal” and drama “The Blind Side.”
Bullock not only received money for acting, she also share in the gains for tickets, and for her two films at the box office numbers were high, Forbes said.
“The Blind Side” raised nearly $ 310 million in worldwide box office and had a budget of about $ 30 million, while “Proposal” got a bit less than 320 million with a cost of close to 40 million dollars.
Tied for second place were Reese Witherspoon and Cameron Diaz, with 32 million dollars. Witherspoon has not appeared in films since 2008, but she has received advance payments for the films “How Do You Know” and “Water for Elephants”.
Diaz’s revenues came from the movie “Knight and Day” and “Shrek”, which got U.S. $ 2,800 million at the box office worldwide.
Jennifer Aniston was in fourth place with $ 27 million and the star of “Sex and the City” Sarah Jessica Parker, in fifth place with $ 25 million.
To determine the remuneration of the actresses, Forbes spoke with agents, publicists, producers, lawyers and took into account other forms of income such as brands of perfume, clothing lines and advertising campaigns.
Forbes based their figures on the profits from June 2009 to June 2010. Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston were the highest paid actresses in the same period last year.
